Dental Crowns, Bridges & Veneers

Losing a permanent tooth – whether it be due to dental decay, periodontal (gum) disease, injury or accident – can cause many serious problems for your neighboring teeth. Because the support and chewing forces are altered, the remaining teeth may begin to shift. The opposing tooth above or below the lost tooth can begin to move up or down and out of the socket, which can accelerate gum disease and further break down the bone structure. If the missing tooth is not replaced, more teeth may eventually be lost due to the improper forces exerted during chewing. There are many options for restoring and enhancing the appearance of your teeth. Beach Grove Dental Tsawwassen has all the options you need to enjoy better oral health.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that are used to replace or restore damaged or missing teeth. A crown, sometimes called a “cap”, is a tooth-like cover placed over a carefully prepared existing tooth structure or dental implant. Used to strengthen, restore or improve the appearance of your natural tooth, a crown is placed on an individual tooth much like a thimble over your finger. Dental crowns support the tooth when there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling. They may be used to protect the structure of a tooth that is fractured or broken. Most crowns last for several years with proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care.

A dental crown lengthening procedure is used to correct a “gummy” smile where your teeth are covered with excess gum tissue.

Bridges are used to fill in the gaps left by missing teeth and are anchored in place by the natural teeth or crowns nearest the empty space. Both crowns and bridges are fixed (cannot be removed) and must be cemented in place by a licensed dentist. Patients who get crown or bridges to restore their smiles achieve both the function and appearance of natural and healthy teeth. Bridges can also be placed on top of dental implants to replace up to 4 or 5 teeth at one time.

Dental Veneers

Dreaming of a straighter, fuller smile that looks as if it came straight out of Hollywood? Veneers offer dramatic results. When placed side by side, dental veneers have the potential to change the overall appearance of your entire smile.

Our porcelain veneers are long-lasting and high quality. They are an excellent solution for both minor and more severe cosmetic concerns including enamel discoloration, staining, misshaped teeth, gaps between the teeth, and broken or chipped teeth. Dental veneers are very thin shells of porcelain or resin material that are bonded over the front of your natural teeth to change the way that they look. From crowding to uneven teeth or damaged teeth, veneers can be used for a variety of aesthetic situations, and results are amazing.

At Beach Grove Dental Tsawwassen, we provide our patients with a variety of cosmetic options to fit their long-term goals and budget needs. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Beeram to restore your lovely smile.
